 A New Gas Revolt Idea!
Most of the motoring public likely feel we are getting ripped off every time we fill out tanks these days with pump prices no longer reflecting crude oil prices and there is no apparent competition in the market place. In a few landmark decisions in eastern Canada some stations were actually found guilty of price fixing, which is something most of us believe is the actual case, in spite of continued denials by oil company execs.

I got an email with what could prove to be an effective tool for consumers to make their displeasure known at the pumps, and it is to simply stop buying gasoline from either Petro Canada or Esso ……….period! This is not a suggested one day boycott, but a continued, ongoing boycott of both of these stations until they bring their prices more inline with reality.

If you think this idea has merit and you would like to see a grass roots revolt grow, the author of the idea suggests you send an email to people you know asking them to do the same thing. If enough people actually respond to this ban, there could be significant market pressure brought to bear in a very short time frame. Remember the last place these guys store their gas is YOUR tank, so they do have to keep supplies moving.

If you are tired of getting hosed, and think this idea has merit, your participation is quite simple:
1. Stop buying from either Esso or Petro Canada
2. Send emails to all your friends asking them to join the ban and tell their friends also.
